Do you accept Medicare?

Yes, I have a Medicare number and will bill them for your therapy services.

Do you take insurance?

Yes, I am willing to take your insurance and will handle all of the billing. The bigger questions is "will your insurance take me?" I am out of network for all insurance companies so whether your insurance is covered or not will depend on your plan. I recommend calling your insurance company (the 1-800 number on the back) and asking them about your out-of-network mental health benefits. Once you have this information give me a call and I will lay out exactly how much your sessions will cost.

If I don't have insurance, how much will a session cost?

A regularly priced session is $180. I do offer sliding scale assistance for those in difficult situations. Please give me a call to determine if you qualify. I will do my best to help you out. If I can't help you, I will help you find someone who will.

How often do you typically meet with clients?

Client's typically attend session once a week. As therapy progresses and the clients become more independent session begin to be spaced out at regular intervals (every-other week, every three weeks, once a month etc). This leads to what I like to call "graduation" where the client only calls occasionally when the need arrives.

Where are you located?

I am located in Plantation, FL, just north of Broward Blvd and just east of University Drive. My office is on 4th Street near the post office, police station, and city hall.

Do I have to process my traumas?

Not necessarily. Clients that come to therapy to address Posttraumatic Stress Disorder or other trauma related issues are often aided by insight-based therapy in conjunction with education in healthy coping skills. Once this is complete the choice to begin trauma processing will be made collaboratively between the therapist and the client. Of course, if you would like to process your traumas I am happy to discuss the decision with you.
